10 of the Biggest Game of Thrones Actors Who Starred in Your Favorite YA Movies
Game of Thrones is coming back for its highly-anticipated sixth season this weekend, so, naturally, everyone’s talking about it — even us! We know what you (or, rather, your parents) are thinking: “Umm, that’s not exactly a Teen-friendly show.” *NEWSFLASH* LBR here, it’s not an anything-friendly show, so back the eff off.
In anticipation of the premiere, we’re doing the most Teen.com thing possible, and connecting it to the great big world of YA movies. If you watch the series, then you probably noticed that there are a bunch of familiar-looking humans from young adult films walking around (or dying) on the controversial HBO television series. Sam Claflin of The Hunger Games fame could’ve been one of them — he auditioned to play Jon Snow and Viserys Targaryen — but obviously lost out. These 10 other celebrities, however, managed to cross the threshold, and starred on GoT as well as in a YA favorite. It’s the best of both worlds!
Tyrion Lannister is one of the only characters — if not, THE only character — who, we believe, Game of Thrones won't kill off. There would be riots! (But, then again, we said the same thing about Jon Snow, and look what happened.) Peter's character is smart, witty AF and the least evil of his siblings, making him the most lovable(?) Lannister of the entire royal bunch.
But in 2008, years before we were introduced to him on HBO, Peter played a key role in the Narnian Revolution as Trumpkin in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian; he even served as Caspian's Lord Regent multiple times in his later years.
OTHERS: Natalia Tena (Osha on Game of Thrones; Nymphadora Tonks in Harry Potter); David Bradley (Walder Frey on Game of Thrones; Argus Filch in Harry Potter); Freddie Stroma (Dickon Tarly on Game of Thrones; Cormac McLaggen in Harry Potter); Will Tudor (Olyvar on Game of Thrones; Senior Novice (uncredited) in Vampire Academy).
