Selena Gomez’s BFF Shows Off Scars for 1st Time Since Kidney Transplant News
The news of Selena Gomez‘s summer kidney transplant rocked the world upon reveal last week. How did she manage to keep it a secret for so long?? Nevertheless, she seems to be doing quite well for herself post-operation, making appearances at events, including NYFW, and filming an upcoming Woody Allen movie.
Meanwhile, her best friend, Francia Raisa, who donated her organ to the 25-year-old “Fetish” singer, has been keeping relatively out of the spotlight, before and after the news broke, only saying, “I am beyond grateful that God would trust me with something that not only saved a life, but changed mine in the process. This was part of our story, and we will share it soon, but what is important now is that this is not the only story.”

As previously mentioned, Selena shocked us all when she announced that she had a kidney transplant this summer. She has always been vocal about her lupus diagnosis, but has never let it get in the way of her dreams. She received a kidney from her friend, Francia Raisa, a few months ago and is already back on set for her new movie. She is incredibly strong and brave to share her story and we couldn't be happier that the surgery was a success.
