Floral Eyeliner is Here Just in Time for Coachella and It’s Actually Really Pretty

By  |

Although spring officially began last month, there’s still plenty of time to try out new makeup looks before the season ends. And with Coachella happening this weekend, it’s the perfect time to step outside your comfort box! So far, we’ve suggested gem roots, black pearl hair, and even bow brows, but what we forgot to mention is flower eyeliner, which is honestly one of our faves so far.

Perfect for festival season, this look involves using different colored eyeliners to draw flowers above your upper lash line. From what we can tell so far on social media, people that have been trying out the trend seem to LOVE using the NYX Professional Makeup Vivid Brights Liner and, TBH, we can totally see why:

With Coachella and a bunch of other music festivals happening in the coming weeks, we don’t think there’s a better makeup trend to get on board with than this one! Not only will it look great with your fringe, feathered and crocheted outfits, but it’ll also brighten up your face in the best way!

In preparation for festival season, beauty accounts on Instagram have been trying out the look for themselves, customizing it to their liking with a variety of different colors and floral designs. Take a look:

?? COTD – SPRING BOUQUET ?? . Today I am FEELING that Spring Fever!! ? I wanted to go for something a little more "fun" than the average, and I'm totally obsessed with how this final look came out. Bring on ALL that extra, please! ?✨ . Obviously the highlight of today's look is the floral eyeliner! I've been wanting to try this Coachella-esque eye for a while now, and my desire for Spring temperatures (it's cold and rainy here in Ohio, surprise, surprise!) made me decide to bring Spring to my face! ?‍♀️ . Opal Gloss is the PERFECT pair to this light and fresh lip created with a 1:1 mix of Beige Champagne and Kiss Me Katie. These two colors are some of my personal favorites on their own, so mixed together they are simply shimmering, frosty magic! ? I love how Opal Gloss dances on this color – that purple tone is so mesmerizing. . Oh, and can you see that highlight POP today?! ?✨ I first applied a little Opal gloss to the highlight area of my cheekbone and under my brow, and then applied Pearlizer and a dusting of Sandstone Pearl Shimmer on top. The Opal Gloss makes the highlight of Pearlizer and Sandstone Pearl Shimmer REALLY catch that light! This mix I used is AMAZING and something I'll absolutely be repeating again very soon! ? . Here's everything I'm wearing today! What do you guys think?! . ? Silk Pore & Wrinkle Minimizer ? Medium Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer & Cafe au Lait & Porcelain MakeSense Foundation, mixed ? Green & Light Color Correcting Concealer on blemishes ? Light & White Concealer (mixed) & Candlelight ShadowSense under eyes ? Deep Concealer & Moca Java ShadowSense as contour ? Candlelight ShadowSense as lid primer ? Rose Gold Shimmer ShadowSense as eyeshadow base ? Amethyst, Whisper Pink & Snow ShadowSense as flowers ? Onyx ShadowSense & Starry Sky EyeSense Shimmer as eyeliner ? Garnet ShadowSense on brows ? Black LashSense with UnderSense (lashes) ? Chocolate Cherry & Pink Berry BlushSense on cheeks ? Opal Gloss with Pearlizer & Sandstone Pearl Shimmer as cheek & brow highlight ? Beige Champagne & Kiss Me Katie LipSense, mixed 1:1 ? Opal Gloss ? Ardell Beauty Lashes #120

So, if you’re thinking about trying this look out for yourself, we say go for it! There are so many ways to make it your own that you really can’t go wrong. Plus, everyone around you will have extreme eyeliner envy, but can we really blame them? This looks awesome!
