WTF!? Robert Pattinson’s Fiancee Thinks Emotional Abuse is “Sexy…[and] Tender”
If you’ve ever seen singer FKA twigs‘ music video for her song “Papi Pacify,” you know it’s pretty graphic and intense. Robert Pattinon‘s fiancee explained that the idea to have a man shove his hand in her mouth for the vid stemmed from a past love who was “emotionally abusive.”
“In the relationship I couldn’t communicate,” she told ES Magazine. “The person I was with was stopping me from explaining how I felt. So the physical manifestation is someone putting their hand in your mouth. There’s an element, too, of liking that as well. It’s messed up. It’s addictive.”
This explanation actually makes a lot of sense, but it’s what the 28-year-old said immediately AFTER that has us seriously scratching our heads. The interviewer brought up the fact that the imagery is quite “brutal,” to which she replied:
“Violent, or beautiful? It’s kind of sexy, like emotional abuse can be tender. That’s why it’s messed up. If you are in an emotionally abusive relationship, it can be tender; that’s why you stay. And you stay because there’s a poorly part of your mind that likes it.”
We’re sorry… did FKA just say emotional abuse can be “tender” and “kind of sexy?!” Yes… she definitely did.
Maybe she meant that emotional abuse can mask itself as being a positive? Maybe she was referring to how hard it is to see past the abusers lies? We’re going to hope her intentions were one of these, because emotional abuse is NEVER sexy or tender, NMW.
