Fifth Harmony Shuts Down A Reporter Who Kept Asking About Camila Cabello

By  |

It’s been eight months since it was announced that Fifth Harmony would become a foursome. While fans had an idea that there was drama between the girls behind-the-scenes, no one was expecting Camila Cabello to pull a Zayn and go solo.

It definitely took us a while to get used to just seeing Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui and Dinah Jane on stage, but the girls are stronger than ever before. The foursome are continuing to produce great songs with killer music videos, but they still have to deal with people who shame them for their outfit choices and constantly badger them about Camila.

The girls recently guest-starred on Dan Wooton’s podcast, Bizzare Life, for The Sun. During the interview, Dan continually asked the girls about the band post-Camila and talked about all the different reports of the conversations that happened behind closed doors when Cami decided to go solo. It was obvious that 5H didn’t want to talk about the situation anymore when they responded saying “Right now, we’re really focused on each other. We’re so excited in the now, and we have so much to look forward to.”

With such a sweet and classy response, it should have been the end of the Camila Q’s. Both Camila and 5H have done so many great things in their careers that we should be celebrating their success, not tearing it down. Unfortunately, Dan didn’t feel the same way and did not hold back his (wrong) opinons when he released the podcast. On Twitter he said the girls had a “diva moment”, which is wrong and offensive.

Harmonizers were NOT okay with Dan’s comments and called him out for being sexist, rude and disrespectful. This led to Lauren responding with her own classy Tweet.

We’re guessing Dan isn’t used to strong, independent women standing up for themselves because he then went on a four-Tweet spree calling the girls names and even went as far to say that he understands why Camila wanted to leave the group!

We think it’s safe to say that the girls won’t be interviewing with Dan ever again, and why should they? Thankfully, these girls are powerhouses who don’t let rude and intrusive reporters get the best of them. We just can’t wait to hear all the incredible music they have waiting for us.
