Rihanna’s New Eyeliner is Named After One of Her Shadiest Clapbacks
We know it’s nearly impossible to keep up with Fenty Beauty these days, but if your eyes have been glued to the brand’s Instagram feed, you know all about the new collection that’s scheduled to hit shelves on July 6th.
The new Fenty Beauty products that are coming our way are part of the Moroccan Spice collection, and some of the items are entirely new territory for the brand. For example, in addition to a 16-shade eyeshadow palette, the range will include eye makeup brushes, eye primer and, of course, liquid eyeliner, all of which Fenty Beauty has never created in the past.
After taking a peek at the new products, we have to say that, while the colors in the eyeshadow palette are gorgeous, we’re probably most excited for the eyeliner, or Flyliner, as the brand dubbed it. Just look how cool it is!
What’s even cooler about the new liquid eyeliner is that Rihanna hilariously decided to name it after one of her most epic comebacks EVER. All diehard Bad Gal fans will remember when Rih received a hateful message on Twitter about her natural hair back in 2011. Without hesitation, the 30-year-old clapped back at the hater, simply tweeting, “Cuz I’m black b*tch.” Thus, this shade of Flyliner is called “Cuz I’m Black.” How iconic is that?!
Obviously, we’re super stoked to try out this liner for ourselves to see how it compares to other makeup brands, but NGL, we’re already in love. On the outside, it is packaged in a rose gold tube, which is just about as chic and stylish as it gets. When you open it up, though, you’ll see it includes an extremely thin tip that will give you the precise lines you need. We know, it’s amazing… and it seems like RiRi thinks so, too!
If you’re looking to get your hands on the Flyliner (which, LBR, who isn’t?), it’ll be available for purchase on July 6th. If you happen to live in New York, though, you can buy it as soon as TOMORROW if you head over to one of the three Fenty Beauty pop-up shops happening this week. Worth the trip!
