9 Famous Females You Didn’t Know Almost Voiced Disney Princesses
There’s no denying the love we have for the gorgeous women behind our favorite Disney princesses. However, imagine if those voice-over casting decisions went completely differently. Yep, it was totally possible! In fact, many of the singers and actresses we know and love were once up for roles of famous Disney princess!
While there’s still tons of other opportunities for actresses to play princesses in the future — like how Emma Watson will be starring in the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast — there’s still no Disney princess job as coveted as getting to be the original voice. Which is exactly why finding a spot behind the mic as a Disney princess is a feat even some of the most talented celebs can’t get a hold of!
From Queen Bey to Queen Elsa, these are lovely ladies that, unfortunately, seemed to have missed their chances at voicing some of our favorite princesses:
It only makes sense that Queen Bey was in the running to voice Disney's first African-American princess, Tiana. However, it turns out that her anything BUT royal behavior is what may have cost her the The Princess and the Frog role! According to the film's casting director, "Beyoncé expected an offer, but wouldn't audition and so she didn't get one." Ouch! Bey also ended up losing the role to her Dreamgirls co-star, Anika Noni Rose.
