17 Cuties Emma Watson Has Been Linked to Throughout Her Career
October 17, 2018
Hogwarts isn’t the only place where
Hermione Granger reigns. Over the years, she has stolen the hearts of many American and British chaps. As an actress, model and activist, it’s no surprise that her dating timeline doesn’t lack in length or variety. She’s reportedly dated everyone from models & fellow students to, allegedly, even a former Emma Watson co-star. (Sadly, we’re not talking about Harry Potter Rupert Grint. *sigh*)
Ask any of her former baes, and we’re sure they would all agree that she’s quite the charmer. (And we don’t mean in Professor Flitwick’s class. *wink wink*) No magic is necessary because this British beauty naturally can’t keep the fellas away. Can you blame them? How many other 27-year-olds can say they’re also UN ambassadors?!

which guys couldn’t resist falling under Emma’s spell. Or, at least were rumored to have fallen. Whatevs.

Emma's very first dating rumors go all the way back to those early years on the
Harry Potter set. Rumors spread that Hogwarts' fave sweetheart and villain were a pair, but turns out Emma just had a huge crush on Tom Felton. Aww! Luckily, they laugh about it now.
Little did she know, while she had an unrequited crush on Tom, someone
else in the cast had feelings for her! "I probably had a crush on Emma for a couple of years, until I was 13 or 14," Matthew Lewis (a.k.a. Neville) told . "I think that everyone had crushes on everyone else at some point." Seventeen

In what was her first reported relaysh, Emma and
Tom Ducker (on the right) started dating in 2006. Lasting a year, the alleged reason for the split was due to the rugby player being a ladies' man and posting too many pics with other girls. How crazy that even A-list celebs have to deal with dating issues like that?
But even though they didn't last, their first date
was a really romantic one. They two of them were spotted with lobster and champagne on the French Riviera. Umm, can you say goals?

After hitting it off at a 2008 Cartier Polo Party,
Francis Boulle had a brief dating stint. It wasn't long before the UK star broke poor Emma's heart, reasoning that he didn't want to be dating "some childhood star." Ouch! Looks like Emma gets the last laugh here, though, since the 29-year-old is still best known for being on the reality show Made in Chelsea.
Even though these two have mutual friends, they haven't been seen together since — and we doubt they'll ever be a thing again. Onto the next!

Angus Willoughby while studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. So obvs it was no time before they were "dating." In the end, it was all just rumors. We can't really say that we were too shocked, but these two were cute together! Angus is the son of an Olympic rower with an interest in theater. And, like a lot of other guys on this list, he's a rugby fan. Emma does seem to have a type, after all!

In 2008, the total Prince William lookalike swept Emma right off of her feet. Despite the age difference — Emma, 19, and Jay, 26 — it seemed to be the real deal. She even moved the financier into her home after they'd dated for a year and a half!
Unfortunately, when she began school at Brown the distance didn't work well for these former lovebirds. And we don't blame them! London and Rhode Island are
not close together — there's a whole ocean between them. Looks like even celebrities, with their private jets and extra cash, struggle with long-distance relationships.

Before Emma and Jay officially split, rumors spread that she and fellow Brown student
Rafael Cebrian were a pair. But he wasn't just a college student — he was also a Spanish rock star. Maybe he was the reason why her LDR wasn't working out so well?
After being seen cozying up to each other on several occasions, including an ice hockey game, Emma denied the dating rumors, explaining that he was a longtime friend from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts who was showing her around campus. Hmm...

After meeting on a Burberry shoot during the summer of 2010, Emma and
George Craig instantly hit it off. He's from the British indie band One Night Only, and Emma even appeared in one of the group's music videos! (HINT: "Say You Don't Want It.") She also went to a few of the troupe's shows and hung out at the Glastonbury Music Festival with a sorta-shirtless George.
Things got rocky when Emma returned to the States for school. Though they made a beautiful couple, it turned out to be a short-lived summer fling.

Working together on
The Perks of Being a Wallflower must have stirred up some feelings IRL because Emma returned to the A-list actor dating pool for the first time since Tom Felton in 2011. She and Johnny Simmons were spotted out and about multiple times — and they couldn't have been cuter!
The alleged love story only lasted a few short months due to her semester abroad at Oxford. Once again, distance came in for the steal. Rumor has it, she wanted Johnny to move to England with her and he wasn't down!

Looks like it's a good thing Johnny Simmons didn't come to England with Emma because she actually ended up meeting
Will Adamowicz in her semester abroad. He was a Brown student — and a millionaire's son, we might add — studying at Oxford for a year!
Will and Emma were first spotted together at Coachella in 2013 and lasted for a
long time from there — we're talking two years going strong! But like many of her previous relationships, the distance became too much for this actress and her college beau.

Emma and rugby star
Matthew Janney were spotted ringing in 2014 on a romantic Caribbean getaway. She kept her nearly year-long relationship with the Oxford rugby star pretty private, but in November 2014, Emma reported the split — and didn't have very good things to say about their relationship.
"I felt really uncomfortable, even before my relationship ended," she said in an interview with
. "I went on a silent retreat because I really wanted to figure out how to be at home with myself." Vogue UK
Aww, we hope that helped.

When Emma accepted an award from our fave
One Direction boy, we couldn't help but fantasize about this match made in British heaven. Then, our prayers seemed to be answered when she and Harry Styles were spotted on a (not-so) secret date at a soccer game shortly after they tried not to be seen together.
Sadly, the alleged love affair didn't last (probs because Emma didn't want
Taylor Swift writing any songs about her, if we're being honest). LOL. At least we still have plenty of Harry-Emma fanfic to make us feel better.

Rumors that Emma and
Prince Harry were a thing started buzzing and everyone was loving it! Thinking our fave Harry Potter alum was dating royalty was just as amazing as when we thought she was dating a 1D member. Sadly, this rumor wasn't true either.
Emma took to Twitter and shot down the rumors in the classiest way poss, explaining that you don't need a prince to be a princess. She also gave her fans a little reminder: "Remember that little talk we had about not believing everything written in the media?" Right on Emma!

Anytime Emma Watson is spotted out and about with a new guy, we freak out — which is exactly what happened when she was seen with
Roberto Aguire in 2015. But it turns out, these two were just friends all along and they go WAY back. Like, to her early acting days when she was filming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
"I was doing an internship in the special effects department at the time," he told
. "One day we had a chance encounter that led to us spending half a day together exchanging stories and dance moves. We never really lost touch after that and now she's one of my best friends." Just Jared Jr.
How freaking cute is that?

Say what you want about Emma, but when she's in a serious relationship, they last a long time. This one, with business manager
William Knight, went on for a total of two years before they split. But the reason we don't know much about them, besides their cute date to see Hamilton on Broadway, is because the actress laid low on purpose.
"I want to be consistent," she told
. "I can't talk about my boyfriend in an interview and then expect people not to take paparazzi pictures of me walking around outside my home. You can't have it both ways." Vanity Fair

When rumors started flying about Emma and
Robert Pattinson last year, it wasn't the first time. People have been trying to push them together since their Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire days, but all they do is deny, deny, deny. So as much as we want it, it doesn't seem like they'll ever give us the satisfaction — even though we're only asking for one date.
But we've heard it from Emma herself in an interview with
New York Daily News. "We're just friends — but he sure was great to work with," she said.

When we heard that
Chord Overstreet and Emma were a thing back in March, it sounded too good to be true, but alas, they were actually an item. Unfortunately, their relationship ended after around six months of dating, so we guess it was too good to be true after all.
When photos came out of the
Glee star and the Beauty and the Beast actress holding hands with big ol' smiles on their faces, we thought they were an adorable couple, but with a swift click of the unfollow button on Instagram, it's become clear that these two are definitely not together anymore. Sounds messy!

For a little while, it started to seem like Emma and Chord were
trying to make things work again. However, it appears that if that was the plan, it didn't quite work. How do we know? Well, for starters, the Harry Potter alum was spotted smooching a new guy while on vacation in Mexico recently!
Sources say that
Emma's new BF is businessman and tech CEO Brendan Wallace, and TBH, maybe dating someone who's not a famous Hollywood star will be good for her! After all, it seems like it's going well so far. Onlookers who saw the couple on their vacay said that they "showed lots of PDA and were very comfortable together," so it seems like they're certainly starting off on the right foot. Wouldn't you agree?
