Emma Stone Lines Up Yet Another Movie Role
Emma Stone‘s reign on the big screen doesn’t seem to be ending any time soon — and we’re completely fine with that! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Emma has lined up her latest gig, the ensemble dark comedy, Birdman.
Also starring The Hangover funny man Zach Galifianakis and Academy Award nominee Naomi Watts, the plot centers on “a former actor, who once played an iconic superhero, as he mounts a Broadway play […] in a bid to reclaim past glory. However, the play’s egotistical leading man threatens to throw everything down the tubes.”
The former actor/superhero in question will be played by Michael Keaton, who was actually the original Batman on the big screen. Emma will play the daughter of Michael’s character who is also his assistant. It makes sense Emma would get cast in a role like this, since she starred in The Amazing Spider-Man, she must know all about superheroes! Production is set to start in April with the film being eyed for a 2014 release.
This is just one of many projects for Emma, as she just had Gangster Squad released in January, lent her voice to the upcoming animated film The Croods, and is currently filming The Amazing Spider-Man sequel with her BF Andrew Garfield.
