Days After Finding Out They’re Pregnant, YouTube Stars Suffer Tragic Loss
We were SO excited to hear that Ellie and Jared Mecham found out they were pregnant with their third baby on freakin’ Mother’s Day of all days. While the YouTubers already have two little boys, Calvin and Jackson, they previously struggled with years of infertility that once made them question if they’d ever be able to start a family. But the excitement quickly turned to heartbreak when the pair found out that the 26-year-old’s hormone levels weren’t what they were supposed to be, and the doctor feared that the pregnancy would not survive.
Sadly, everyone’s suspicions were confirmed by the 28-year-old, who explained in today’s vlog, “It’s been a sad day for us today. Ellie woke up this morning and was bleeding a lot, in clots, and has severe back pain and stomach pain. And when she got up she was lightheaded. And she talked to the doctor and they basically confirmed that Ellie would be miscarrying.”
The blonde did not appear in the video at all, as she was in bed suffering from both physical and mental pain all day. Jared closed the vlog by thanking subscribers for their support and letting them know that both he and Ellie are strong and will continue to try to expand their family.
Our hearts are broken for the YT couple, but we know that one day, hopefully very soon, they’ll be making the announcement that Ellie gave birth to their third bundle of joy.
Miscarriages tragically happen more often than you probably think. These celebrities also suffered from one:
In her documentary Life is But A Dream, Bey briefly discusses the heartbreak that was listening for the heartbeat of the baby that was meant to come one year before Blue Ivy, and not hearing anything. She also sings about the tragedy in her song "Heaven," which she describes as the "saddest song [she's] ever written."
