Dylan O’Brien’s Accident Wasn’t As Life-Threatening As They Made It Seem
#GetWellSoonDylan — that’s a topic that’s been on and off trending on Twitter ever since news broke that Dylan O’Brien was rushed to the hospital after an accident on the set of The Maze Runner: The Death Cure; an accident that sounded incredibly life-threatening.
Fortunately, while the 24-year-old is still being treated, we at least know one thing: it’s not a ‘life-threatening’ situation. Thank god. Although reps reported that he suffered “severe injuries,” including “multiple broken bones” after being RUN OVER BY A CAR while shooting the third and final film in the YA franchise, several people close to the Maze Runner‘s leading man confirm that he’s going to make it, like TMR director Wes Ball and TMR author James Dashner:

(DECIPHERED: “Well, it’s been a whirlwind of emotions these past few days. I’ve been overwhelmed with feelings of anger and sadness and guilt. But ultimately I find myself left with just a deep love and respect for Dylan. He is one tough cookie. I’m sorry for the grief this accident has caused his friends and family as well as my wonderful cast and crew. It’s scary seeing your friend get hurt, but fortunately, Dylan is going to be just fine. After a few weeks of rest and recovery he will be back up and running to finish our adventure together. All the best.”)
I just want to let everyone know that yes, Dylan was hurt, but that he’s going to be okay. Not life threatening in any way.
