It’s hard to believe that
Halloween is only one month away. It feels like September just started, and now we’re already headed into October! Although we’ll miss the warm summer days, we are so excited for everything that fall brings… especially Halloween!
Soon, everybody will be figuring out their
costumes, carving pumpkins and planning parties. There’s usually a lot happening on October 31, but if you’re throwing a party, you want to make sure everyone comes to yours. And what better way to do that than by making it -themed? Everybody loves Harry Potter HP, and it’s surprisingly easy (and cheap) to turn your home into the Wizarding World. Want to know how? Platform 9 and 3/4 Entrance
Everybody knows that in order to get to the Hogwarts Express, you have to pass through Platform 9 and 3/4. Muggles can't run through real brick, unfortunately, but we can pretend!
All you have to do for this DIY entrance is dip a rectangular sponge into red paint and stamp it onto a sheet. Repeat over and over until you have a brick wall pattern, then cut the sheet in half and hang it outside your doorway.

Every wizard needs a broomstick, right? These ones might not look as slick as a Nimbus 2000, but they're still pretty dang cool!

Who could forget when Harry and the Dursleys got bombarded with Hogwarts letters? It was pretty hilarious, and it turns out it's actually pretty easy to do yourself.
All you need to recreate this iconic scene are some envelopes and fishing line. Glue the fishing line to the envelope, then attach it to the ceiling with a thumbtack. Voila!

Hogwarts House Name Tags
There are four types of people in this world: Gryffindors, Slytherins, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws. Every Potterhead has been sorted into their house, so let everyone know with these DIY nametags!
If you're crafty, you can make some out of construction paper. Otherwise, just buy red, green, yellow and blue "Hello, my name is" name tags for people to stick on themselves.
