So much Divergent news in the past few days, it's almost been difficult to keep up. Fortunately for you, Initiates, we're packaging up the latest on Veronica Roth's book-turned-movie in one convenient place for your perusal. starting with…

…Tris and Four Barbies! Just like other monster franchises like Twilight and The Hunger Games — see the remarkable repaints of the figurines here! — the beloved characters from Divergent are reportedly getting the plastic doll treatment. As of now, we hear the models below are set for release this coming April, weeks after the film hits theaters.

Speaking of the soon-to-be-hit flick, Shailene Woodley's hosting an early screening of it to benefit All It Takes, a charity she co-founded that "empowers individual action creating a movement for a sustainable positive change both locally and globally." The event will be held in Los Angeles, and cast members, including Shai and Theo James, will be in attendance. For more details, visit AllItTakes.org.

Lastly, for now anyway, the sequels, Insurgent and Allegiant, finally have a director. Back in December, it was announced that the series' current director, Neil Burger, would not be reprising his role because of scheduling conflicts. Thankfully, the new guy seems promising. According to Deadline, Robert Schwentke (Red, R.I.P.D.) will helm the follow-up flicks, one of which begins production this May.

Divergent hits theaters on March 21, 2014; Insurgent is scheduled to hit theaters on March 20, 2015; Allegiant, the third and final novel in the trilogy is set for a year after on March 18, 2016. As of right now, there are no plans to split the last installment into two parts (a la Harry Potter, Twilight and The Hunger Games). Let's talk about all of it in the comments below, or on our Divergent message board!
