It’s been over a month since we said goodbye to Finn Hudson on Glee‘s tribute episode, “The Quarterback.” And it’s been even longer since we forcibly bid farewell to Cory Monteith. But, even though some time has passed, the wounds are still fresh for some, including Dianna Agron.

In an interview with Digital Spy, the 27-year-old actress confesses in regards to her lack of a return to the set for Season 5, “It’s very disheartening and very sad. It’s very bittersweet not being there every day like I once was.”

To make matters worse, she had to hear nasty rumors after she wasn’t invited back for the record-breaking ep because of an alleged rift with the series’ creators, and even Lea Michele: “What I’m surprised about is how big that story has become. It’s something that’s involving our friend. It’s just interesting how the press loves to pick up a negative story — whether it’s true or not — and run with it.”

She adds, “To have things like this flying around, it makes me sad.”

Though she doesn’t quite say why Quinn didn’t make an appearance on the monumental show, Dianna still went to the memorial for Cory, and was in the audience showing support for fellow Gleek Amber Riley on Dancing with the Stars, which leads us to believe that Dianna’s still a part of the Glee family. Still, it’d be nice to know why Finn’s first love couldn’t make it to the tribute. What do you think of it all? Tell us in the comments below, or on our Glee message board!
