Demi Lovato is Selling the Los Angeles House Where She Overdosed
Demi Lovato cut many people out of her life in the months leading up to her drug overdose, and now it appears that she’s looking to start fresh yet again. The 26-year-old singer put her Los Angeles house, where she was found unconscious from an OD on July 24, up for sale earlier this week, seemingly proving that she wants a clean slate when she eventually gets out of rehab.
The four-bedroom, six-bathroom home in the Hollywood Hills is currently listed on Zillow for $9.495 million. D.Lo purchased the mansion in September 2016 for $8.3 million.
The man who provided Demi the drugs, which ended up being Oxycodone laced with fentanyl, said the “Sober” crooner texted him to come over at 4 a.m. and knew she was being given “aftermarket pills,” or drugs that never started with “any ‘on the market’ pharmaceuticals and didn’t go through any sort of FDA regulation.”
He explained that he tucked her into bed after she fell asleep and was “fine for the whole time” he was with her. Things took a turn a few hours later, as her assistant allegedly found her unresponsive in her bed at around 11 a.m. She was given a dose of Narcan, an emergency treatment for a known or suspected opioid overdose, which ultimately saved her life.
As if there wasn’t already enough negativity associated with the L.A. home, police thwarted burglars’ plan to rob it shortly after Demi was discharged from the hospital and checked into rehab. At this point, it seems that selling it is the best option.
