Demi Lovato Returns to Instagram After Rehab to Encourage Fans to Vote

TONS of celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, Calum Hood and Liza Koshy, have taken to social media to encourage people to exercise their rights and vote in today’s midterm elections. One person we were NOT expecting to speak out about the importance of voting is Demi Lovato, who just recently completed a 90-day stint in rehab after overdosing in July. The 26-year-old is officially out of the treatment center, however, and made her triumphant return to Instagram to show that she voted today and explain why you should, too.

The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer posted her first picture to Instagram since completing the rehabilitation program just minutes ago. The image shows D.Lo standing in a voting booth, looking absolutely stunning in black pants and a denim jacket, about to cast her vote.

She captioned the pic, “I am so grateful to be home in time to vote! One vote can make a difference, so make sure your voice is heard! now go out and #VOTE!!!!

The last time the brunette beauty was on IG was days after her almost-deadly OD. She issued a statement where she thanked her family, her team, and the wonderful people at the hospital who helped save her life Most importantly, though, she addressed the future and said she was going to take some time to focus on her sobriety.

Demi has since removed the note from her Instagram page, which may prove she’s trying to start a new chapter with a completely clean slate.
