Demi Lovato Reportedly Agrees to Go to Rehab Directly After Hospitalization

Ever since we heard about Demi Lovato‘s alleged overdose on July 24, we’ve been checking up on any and all information about her, every.single.day. Updates on her condition, reactions from family, friends and past loves, when she’s going to be able to leave the hospital… There’s no such thing as too many details about the “Sober” singer at the moment.

One more important piece of information that we learned about her today: the 25-year-old Disney Channel alum has reportedly agreed to go to rehab following her hospitalization at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. According to TMZ, “Demi’s family has squarely raised the issue of rehab with her… something they delayed for days because of the many complications resulting from the OD. Demi was very sick and her family did not want to upset her with something that might trigger conflict.”

Since Demi agreed, plans have already been made with a specific rehabilitation facility. “She’s getting out any day now,” the report continues. “There will be no transition… it’s right from Cedars to a live-in rehab facility.”

Prior to this news, last we heard, the former Sonny with a Chance star “wasn’t doing well over the weekend,” so she was still being hospitalized. “She came down with a fever and showed signs of an infection. She is currently being treated for issues that are very common after a drug overdose. She will need to stay in the hospital for a few more days, but is expected to make a full recovery.”
