What This Wizards of Waverly Place Star Said Will Piss Selena Gomez the Eff Off
Selena Gomez has had a HUGE year. She began 2015 with a shaky start after dealing with verbal abuse thanks to body shamers, but she came out on top when she showed she doesn’t give an eff what the haters say and released what may possible be her best album yet, Revival. We’ve been all over that ish since it dropped, yet a certain green-eyed, dark-haired former co-star can’t say the same…
Alright, we can totally cut David Henrie slack for not giving SelGo’s latest album a listen to because he’s been equally as busy as his former on-screen sis. In addition to a partnership with the world’s juiciest candy, Starburst, he’s also been busy brushing up on his American history for his upcoming role as President Ronald Reagan. NBD. Check out our chat with David and why he promises that next year will be his “biggest yet.”
Congratulations on partnering up with Starburst! How did that get started?
“I’ve always loved Starburst, so this was a natural fit for me; I crush the pink ones LOL.”
We want to hear what your #JuicyTheory is!
“My theory was that the juice was collected from the head of every arrow cupid ever shot!”
You always post the best Wizards of Waverly Place throwbacks on Instagram and we’ve seen you and Selena hang a few times since, but have you been able to catch up at all recently?
“Yeah we stay in contact, she’s still a good friend.”
You’ve both been up to so much! Have you checked out any of Selena’s new music? What do you think of Revival?
“I’m way behind on that stuff. LOL, don’t tell her.”
Do you get protective of your on-screen sister IRL? Is it weird when you see pictures of her out with guys?
“I’m protective over every women in my life that I care for. Probably to a fault at times.”
Ever since it was first announced, we’ve been dying to hear new details about your role as Ronald Reagan. How did you prepare for the audition?
“I am so lucky to live in an age with YouTube, LOL. There’s a ton of footage there where I could study the man and learn.”
Have you done anything to really help you get into character for the film?
“Just read and study, pretty much. In 2016 I’m going to be spending time with individuals who were very close with the family, so that will be helpful.
Will there be any other familiar faces in it?
“Yes, but they haven’t announced any names yet. Keep a close watch to my twitter feed.”
Any idea on when it will be out?
“I’m not sure if they’ve released the date yet, but I’d imaging in 2017.”
What other exciting projects do you have coming up?
“Again, keep a close watch to my twitter feed. There’s some really cool projects I’m producing and staring in that will be coming out in 2016. I’m so stoked for next year; it will be my biggest yet.”
