Colleen Ballinger Says Goodbye to Miranda Sings Live… For Now
Colleen Ballinger recently uploaded a video to her YouTube channel documenting her last performance as her alter ego and the woman we all love, Miranda Sings. Don’t worry, though… it’s not goodbye forever. It’s simply goodbye for now.
In the vlog, the YouTuber opened up about her love for performing ever since she was a little theater kid and how much she enjoyed the wild ride Miranda has taken her on over the last decade. The mother-to-be then recalled being on stage for the last time, and TBH, it was a little bittersweet.
“Being on stage that night was really surreal,” Colleen said. “The whole time I was up there, I was thinking about every performance that I’ve done, what I’ve gone through to get here, all of you and how wonderful and supportive you’ve been.”
When her first Miranda video went viral, Colleen talked about getting emails from people in New York asking her to perform. Since then, for the past 10 years, Colleen has taken every single opportunity to do shows. She also included a bunch of adorable throwback videos from performances in the past to really get us in our feels.
But don’t get nervous guys, all hope is not lost! The YouTuber is about to start a family and needs to take some time off to enjoy being a new mom, which we’re sure her fans understand. However, she made sure to mention that she’s not going anywhere. “A lot of people were acting like I was dying,” she said. “I know I’m kind of being dramatic right now, but I’m still here. I’m still Miranda.”
Colleen then concluded the video with a final thank you and a sentiment that we’re sure will inspire a lot of her viewers. “If you had told that little 10-year-old theater dork in her bedroom singing to the mirror that she’d get to tour the world performing and doing comedy for people, I never would’ve believed you,” she said. “You made my dreams come true. Thank you so much.” Excuse us while we go cry in the corner for, like, five minutes.
While the news of Colleen’s last show for a while is super sad, we can’t help but feel extremely excited for the videos to come and to see her begin a new journey with Erik and their future little baby boy.
