10 Classic Books That Should Be Made Into Movies

Listen, I know we’re all jazzed about The Maze Runner and stuff, because young adult fiction about dystopian futures rah rah rah, but that’s not one of the books that I was waiting to get made into a movie.

I mean, I’m sure it’s great and all that, but are we really up to 2007 already? We can’t think of a single movie before that that deserves a make or re-make? I don’t know about you guys, but I was born in the late eighties, grew up in the nineties and still have a bunch of books rattling around in my head that I’d love to see make it to the screen; classic ones that changed the way I thought as a kid and have stayed with me to adulthood.

And here they are now, just to remind the world that there are still some texts out there that aren’t just amalgamations of Harry Potter and The Hunger Games or whatever YA extravaganza made the most money. Do I sound like a grumpy old lady yet? I think I sound like a grumpy old lady.
