10 Songs for Cinco de Mayo

By  |

Mariachi band not available? No problemo. In honor of Cinco de Mayo (it’s on Saturday!), our fave Spanish artists take the stage for this Playlist of the Week. With upbeat tunes from Selena, Enrique, and Demi, you’ll have the perfect soundtrack for your fifth of May fiesta… or that dance party in your room when one one’s home. Either one.

1. Pitbull, “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)”
Count to quatro and get ready to bust a move. This Spanish-infused jam is all you need to start a legendary conga line. Ok, maybe you need at least one other person too.

2. Demi Lovato, “Give Your Heart a Beak”
We dare you not to grab your hairbrush microphone and belt this tune out with your amigos.

3. Enrique Iglesias, “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)”
A Spanish celebration wouldn’t be complete without dancing. And seriously,  guys, how caliente is Enrique?

4. Selena Gomez, “Love You Like a Love Song”
The adorbs Spanish half of Jelena pulls her weight in this awesome track — and it’s en fuego.

5.  Marc Anthony, “I Need to Know”
Pretend the suave Latin stud is serenading you during this steamy hit — because he totally is, right?

6. Shakira, “She Wolf”
The party officially starts once this hip-shaking hit from our favorite Colombian singer blasts through speakers.  And wow,  the girl can move!

7. Christina Aguilera, “Fighter”
Today is all about celebrating, so turn it up and rejoice with this ode to being a tough cookie. Sing it, sister.

8. Jennifer Lopez, “On the Floor”
This ultra dance hit from JLo makes us want to live la vida loca 24/7. Doable, right?

9. Bruno Mars, “Just the Way You Are”
Because of this feel-good song (OK, and pretty much all of his others), we love the half Puerto Rican singer just the way he is.

10. Kat DeLuna, “Push Push (feat. Akon)”
Break out the maracas for this final hit that’s guaranteed to make you dance. Ole!

What do you think of these songs? Any others by Spanish artists that we forgot? How are you celebrating Cinco de Mayo?
