Christina Grimmie Was Forgotten at a Major Awards Show for the THIRD Time
This has to stop happening. Christina Grimmie was noticeably absent from the ‘In Memoriam’ segments of both the 2016 Teen Choice Awards and 2016 Emmy Awards, but seeing as the Grammy Awards are a tribute to Hollywood’s finest musicians, people assumed the late singer would definitely find a place. They were wrong.
In between Beyonce‘s incredible performance, Twenty One Pilots‘s inspirational acceptance speech and James Corden‘s funny one-liners, last night’s Grammys honored the artists who died in the past year. Noticeably missing from the list, which included singers like George Michael and Carrie Fisher, was the 21-year-old crooner who was tragically murdered in June 2016. We know — what the actual F*CK?!
Fans were (obviously) not happy about the snub.
Still really upset that @TheRealGrimmie was not apart of the tribute at The Grammys.

Kinda sad Christina Grimmie wasn't mentioned in that slideshow of deceased singers during the Grammys

@TheRealGrimmie should have been honored last night at The Grammys. I am heartbroken.

The only person that got snubbed at the Grammys last night was Christina Grimmie. I can't believe she wasn't even shown in the memorial

We don’t blame them for being angry! Christina was not only a successful YouTube star, but also a finalist on The Voice, toured around the world and made tons of life-changing music — she deserved to be recognized.
Sadly, Christina Grimmie’s not the only YouTuber who was murdered.
