Chris Hemsworth Denies Rumors That Miley Cyrus & Liam are Married
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been in each other’s lives for SO long that they’re basically heard every rumor about each other that’s out there. But the main story that keeps coming up is that Miam got married without anyone knowing, with the most recent set of rumors circulating just this week.
Australian website Now to Love (slash NW magazine) boasted that the 28-year-old actor and 25-year-old musician “officially [became] husband and wife” while vacationing in Byron Bay, Australia over the holidays. But when the Hunger Games alum’s older brother, Chris Hemsworth, was asked about the good news, he was quick to shut down the speculation.
The 34-year-old confirmed during an interview on SiriusXM’s Sway in the Morning, “They’re not officially married.”

“I always just expect her to put on a show, belt a few songs out. But she never does. I'm insisting consistently: ‘When is the performance coming?’ But no, she's a lot of fun.” pic.twitter.com/6cQ3YOZYxd

Just last year the Disney Channel alum admitted that she isn’t even sure if she wants to get married at all.
“I’m 24. I hope I get to live a little bit more I have too much living to do [before I get married],” she told The Sun on Sunday. “Three years ago, if you’d asked me if I’d be here, this happy with this man, I’d have been stunned. I’m just riding this out. In some relationships, you lose yourself by being with someone else. Actually, it made me find myself more. I have no idea what the next three years will bring, but if it’s possible to get even happier, I’ll take it.”
But even though MiCy and LH aren’t officially husband and wife just yet, she’s still very much a part of the Hemsworth family.
“She’s expected to put on show and bang a few songs out [during family get togethers], but she never does,” the Thor: Ragnarok actor joked. “I am insisting constantly. I’m like, ‘When’s the performance coming?’ She’s a lot of fun.”
