8 Mainstream Celebrities Who Dated Reality TV Contestants
In case you don’t already know, love is REALLY hard. But as difficult as it is for regular people to find love, the dating game is even worse for celebrities, who are never really sure of who they can and cannot trust. For them, dating within the industry can be less than ideal because of tightly packed work schedules and the INSANE amount of media attention. However, if they were to date a normal person, like one of us, for example (just sayin’), the relationship may feel very one-sided because one person is giving more than they’re getting. In other words, it’s almost impossible to find the right balance.
This has happened time and time again in Hollywood, where celebrity couples amicably split simply because they can’t give their relationships the attention they need to survive. Think about Taylor Lautner and Billie Lourde, who remain friends after just eight months of dating because their lives are just too hectic to be together. People reported back in July, “They aren’t together anymore but they are still friendly. She’s really focused on her work right now.” And TBH, we were shipping them HARD!
But even though real life A-listers aren’t usually lucky in love, reality stars have it pretty rough, too. With shows like The Bachelor, where the whole premise is to find everlasting love, it unfortunately doesn’t end well once the cameras turn off. Also this year, bachelor Nick Viall split with the contestant he chose on the show, Vanessa Grimaldi. Although it’s unclear exactly what went awry with this freshly engaged couple, their statement said, “It’s with a great amount of heartbreak for the both us as we have decided to end our engagement. We gave this relationship our all and we are saddened that we did not get the fairytale ending we hoped for.”
To be honest, considering the short amount of time it takes to film a reality show like The Bachelor, it’s not all that surprising that most reality couples don’t see the relationship through. And when reality television couples split, you’d actually be surprised to find out that some of them go on to date actual celebrities. We know… it’s exhausting to keep up with, but hear us out! Here are nine celebrities who’ve dated reality TV Contestants IRL!
Although they've yet to confirm their relationship themselves, Modern Family's Sarah Hyland and Bachelor in Paradise star Wells Adams are reportedly dating! Even though we're unsure of how long they've been together or how serious they are about each other, the two took a big step forward in their relationship when they posted photos of themselves dressed in costume for Halloween! Sarah dressed up as Dustin Henderson from Stranger Things, and Wells stuck with the theme by dressing up as Eleven. Sarah even cheekily captioned her post, "#strangerthings have happened #happyhalloween." Too cute!
