11 of the Best (and Most Revealing) Celebrity Memoirs of 2017

By  |

It has been a rough year for celebrities, to say the least. We have seen so many divorces, broken engagements and breakups that we want it to be 2018 ASAP.

When you’re a celebrity, you’re constantly being watched by your millions of devoted fans and paparazzi. We see their lives unfold in front of cameras, like when Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were seen hanging out and acting as if it’s 2010 again or how everyone thinks Charlie Puth and Danielle Campbell are dating solely based on their social media activity.

We can only imagine that one of the hardest parts about being a celebrity is not always being able to defend yourself against rumors, and to just let everyone think what they see is the end-all, be-all to who you are as a person. While some celebrities have definitely fired back against false accusations and crazy rumors like when Kourtney Kardashian put her pregnancy rumors to rest or when famous friends have to constantly deny that they’re NOT more than just friends.

Although many celebs choose to simply ignore the rumors and keep their personal lives as private as possible, some choose to shed some light on their lives by writing a memoir. Who could forget when Naya Rivera spilled ALL the tea about her feud with her former Glee co-star Lea Michele in her book, Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing, or when Lily Collins bravely opened up about her poor relationship with her famous father, Phil Collins, in Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me?

We love getting an inside look on what our favorite celebrities are REALLY like, especially when it comes from the celebrities themselves. This year alone, we have seen a ton of A-list celebrities release books about who they are, how they handle stress and why they do what they do. Some memoirs have caused more drama than others, but all of them are personal, revealing and totally honest. You’re not going to be able put these down and you’ll definitely see these celebs in a whole new way.
