Unfortunately, this sort of thing is inevitable, and sadly, we can’t protect even our favorite actors, musicians, comedians, etc. from deaths by sickness, accidents or even just old age.

Celebrity deaths become even more challenging to cope with when it comes on suddenly and is completely unexpected. Even now, there are some celebrity deaths that we still can’t seem to accept. Other unexpected celebrity deaths came just last year, when two musical legends, Prince and David Bowie, both passed away unexpectedly. These were two icons who shaped the music industry for decades, so understandably, diehard fans of these artists were left completely shattered upon hearing the news. Prince was only 57 years old when he died as a result of a drug overdose; David Bowie was secretly battling liver cancer, and he died at the age of 69.

Another heartbreaking celebrity death that occurred last year was the passing MURDER of The Voice star Christina Grimmie, who was fatally shot after her concert in Orlando, Florida during a meet-and-greet with her fans. The shooter, who was said to be “an obsessed fan,” brought two guns into the venue and shot at Christina multiple times. Later, at the hospital, Christina was pronounced dead as a result of the gunshot wounds she suffered.
