James Franco is a character, to say the least. On the one hand, he’s incredibly intelligent; so intelligent, in fact, that he was a PhD student in English at Yale University. WHA-?! On the other hand, he’s creepy AF. (Remember when he openly admitted to flirting with/trying to pick up a teen girl when he was 25? Umm… pedo!) So, when he posted an Instagram of himself with a neck tattoo of his This Is the End co-star, Emma Watson, with her name emblazoned underneath, everyone was all like, “Yup, that sounds about right.”

What gave away that the ink was actually not real was his credit to @indiangiver a.k.a. Cheyenne Randall, who, according to Vanity Fair, “Photoshops elaborately detailed tattoo landscapes over some of history’s most iconic actors.”

BUT, just because James’ skin etching was a fake doesn’t mean other celebrities aren’t willing to take the plunge and ink themselves with other famous people’s faces. Inking names and quotes dedicated to one’s significant other is already risky — ’cause look at how many stars live to regret that choice — but freaking faces? Oof. Well, what’s done is done, right?
