To say that we are in an intense political climate right now would be a huge understatement. Just in this past week alone, President Donald Trump announced on Twitter that the government would no longer allow transgender men and women to serve in the United States military. This obviously was not well-received because of its obvious discrimination against the LGBT community and tons of celebrities took to Twitter to speak out against the military ban.

Celebrities, journalists and, honestly, everyday people have used Twitter to voice their concerns and/or praises about the current government and their ideas. While some have been able to use their platform to bring light to a marginalized community, some have been called out by the President… and have been blocked by his personal Twitter account.
