Another One of Your Favorite YouTube Stars is Quitting Daily Vlogging
This is becoming a trend that we’re definitely NOT into. First, Shay Carl announced that the Shaytards would no longer be making YouTube videos starting in March 2017. Then, about a month later, Judy and Benji Travis revealed that they, too, were going to scale back on daily vlogging. We hate to add another one of of fave YouTubers to this list, but Casey Neistat is saying goodbye to daily vlogs, too.
The 35-year-old starting making videos every day back in March 2015 because he wanted to “challenge [himself] creatively in a way [he’d] never done before.” While Casey quickly got the hang of daily vlogging and earned over 5 millions subscribers in less than two years, he felt he was becoming complacent and taking the “easy” way out.
“What [the vlog] hasn’t been doing is challenging me; it hasn’t been the creative fist fight I wrestle with every single day,” he said.
It is for this reason that the filmmaker decided to stop making everyday videos so he can focus on finding a creative challenge and “give birth to what’s next.”
“It’s time to embrace a new opportunity. It’s time to try something else because the success of this vlog has not satiated my appetite, it’s only made me more hungry.”
We are obviously sad to see Casey go, but we cant wait to see what else he has in store for us in the near future!

These 10 YouTubers actually quit the site completely:
Fred Figglehorn (a.k.a. Lucas Cruikshank) took the nation by storm. His fast rise to fame even sparked Nickelodeon's Fred: The Movie in 2010. For six years straight, this kid was EVERYWHERE... then he was nowhere at all.
When Nick offered Lucas the lead role on the sitcom Marvin Marvin, he didn't think twice about leaving Fred in the dust. Unfortunately, the show didn't last very long, and that was the last we heard of Fred/Lucas for nearly three years.
In 2014, the broader-shouldered blond announced that he was relaunching his Fred channel, but our beloved friend would be but a mere appearance every so often. Sigh.
