6 YA Book-to-Movie Adaptations That ALMOST Happened, But Were Canceled
There is no better feeling than the one you get when you find out that one of your favorite books has been picked up by a studio and is heading to the big screen. Then there’s another emotion that comes when it’s been literal years since an adaptation was announced and there’s been absolutely NO news about a script, cast, etc. If you use your better judgement, you probably know deep down that plans to make a live-action production are #deadandgone but still, there’s always a sliver of hope…until news that confirms the adaption is NOT going to happen officially comes.
Unfortunately, an axed flick is nothing new in Tinseltown. Superhero films get cut all the time and franchises that were supposed to have multiple installments get the boot after just one.
