Camila Cabello Broke Up with Fifth Harmony in the Shadiest Way Possible
Wow, what a way to end 2016, huh? After rising to fame as part of a girl group on The X Factor, Camila Cabello officially quit Fifth Harmony. The newly-dubbed foursome said in a statement, “After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony.”
Let us reiterate, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui & Normani Kordei found out that Camila’s quitting 5H… through Cam’s reps. As in, she didn’t even tell them herself, EVEN THOUGH she performed with them at Y100 Jingle Ball 2016 earlier in the evening. December 18 was reportedly the last day of CC’s contract, Jingle Ball was the group’s last gig of the year, so she peaced. Oookkkaaayyy.
You know, no matter how many signs there were that this was coming, we still weren’t fully prepared. But, at least the rest of the girls seem to be taking the news in stride. “We wish her well,” their statement said.
“You Harmonizers have been there with us since the beginning, you’ve supported us, you’ve rejoiced and cried with us, you’ve grown with us, and with your love and support, we will continue on,” it continued. “That being said, we are excited to announce that we will be moving forward with the four of us… We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors.”
So far, Camila has yet to address her fans. Like… at least Zayn Malik was part of the statement after he bounced from One Direction. What gives, Cam?
Camila Cabello got a lot of flack for going solo while still in a girl group. But she’s not the only fierce female to do that:
