Paperwork Suggests That Camila Cabello Withdrew from 5H Years Ago

By  |

#CamilaCabelloIsOverParty — that’s what’s trending among Fifth Harmony fans on Twitter after leaked paperwork suggests that Camila Cabello actually withdrew from the girl group in 2015, over a year prior to the announcement that she’s no longer part of 5H.

According to one particular set of receipts, dated September 18, 2015, the now-20-year-old singer informed her fellow X Factor alums, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane Hansen, Ally Brooke and Normani Kordei, that, effective immediately, she would be considered an individual artist and NOT a member of the Fifth Harmony “Partnership.”
Re: Notice of Withdrawal From The Fifth Harmony Partnership

Dear Lauren, Dinah, Allyson and Normani:

Pursuant to California Corporations Code 16601(1) and Paragraph 8.1(d) of the Partnership Agreement variously dated January ___, 2013 and February 13, 2013 (date of execution), and entered into by and among Camila Cabello, Lauren M. Jauregui, Dinah Jane Hansen (pka Dinah Jane), Allyson Hernandez (pka Ally Brooke), and Normani Kordei Hamilton (the “Agreement”), I hereby expressly notify you of my voluntary withdrawal, effective immediately, from The Fifth Harmony Partnership (the “Partnership”) identified and described in the Agreement.

Be advised that I fully intend to remain in the group but as an individual and not as a member of the Partnership. My manger, Roger Gold would be pleased to discuss the logistics of my continuing relationship with the group.

If this paperwork is to be believed, then that kind of changes things, doesn’t it? After all, when word first got out about CC’s departure from the OG fivesome, the remaining four said in a statement, dated December 19, 2016, “After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony.”

CamCab quickly followed up with a note of her own, saying, “I was shocked to read the statement the Fifth Harmony account posted without my knowing. The girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during tour. Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was ‘leaving the group’ is simply not true. Just like the other girls said in their statement about their plans, I had also planned to continue with my own solo endeavors in the new year but I did not intend to end things with Fifth Harmony this way. As sad as it is to see this chapter ending this way, I will continue to root them all on as individuals and as a group. I wish nothing but the best for them, all the success in the world and true happiness.”

“Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was ‘leaving the group’ is simply not true.” It seems like that part of Camila’s statement is correct; the others weren’t just informed; they had over a year to process. Right? Is that how you’re reading it? Ugh, this is so complicated.

Needless to say, this newfound information is tearing fans apart even further:

Let us be clear: 1. We don’t even know if this paperwork is REAL. 2. Whether or not it is real, Camila is still a solo artist, and Lauren, Dinah, Ally & Normani are all part of Fifth Harmony — this doesn’t change anything. We love Camila. We love Fifth Harmony. Let’s focus on the amazing projects churning out from both!
