Camila Cabello’s New Relationship is the “Happiest” She’s Ever Been
Like many (if not most) celebrities, Camila Cabello likes to keep her private life, well, private. But when she opened up to Rolling Stone about her life and musical career, the singer couldn’t help but gush about her boyfriend, Matthew Hussey.
To be fair though, at the time of the interview the “Havana” songstress didn’t reveal the identity of the British dating coach, but let’s be real here, we all know Matthew is who she was talking about. Anyway, in the feature piece, Camila told the mag that this time in her life is “the happiest I’ve ever been” and even went on to admit that her new boy toy helped her learn a valuable lesson and to try and live life without any regrets at a retreat he recently hosted. Sounds like he’s a definite keeper!
But, her new love wasn’t the only topic of discussion in the Rolling Stone interview. The 21-year-old also opened up about her friendship with Taylor Swift and explained how that whole relationship even came about!
Apparently Hailee Steinfeld introduced the two and at the time, Camila was going through her first breakup and as soon as Tay heard, the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer immediately put together a breakup playlist for the heartbroken singer and invited her to a girl’s night. Is anyone even surprised that this is how they first met? Anyway, according to Camila, T. Swizzle simply told her, “Come over, let’s talk about it.” Tbh, if that isn’t friendship goals, we don’t know what is.
Speaking of breakups, the singer talked about her departure from Fifth Harmony and said, “It was as painful as a breakup, a five-year breakup.” We can only imagine how painful that was. Camila took the topic a little further and went on to say that if she was still in the group today and still wanting to work on her own solo projects, things might actually be different.
“If we were in the same situation now, it would probably be fine for everyone to make their own music while being in the group because I think everyone understands now that you can’t limit people,” Camila said. “That’s why people break free.” That’s pretty deep, C, and we totally believe it.
