Camila Cabello Thinks She’s Living a Hannah Montana-Like Life
Fresh off the MAJOR success of her hit solo song, “Havana,” and her chart-topping self-titled album, Camila Cabello is getting totally personal about how life has changed since practically taking over the pop music world and establishing herself as a global superstar.
In a brand-new interview with NME, Camila reveals she’s still adjusting to life as a superstar. “It feels amazing. But it also feels like it’s not me, if that makes sense? I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, that’s my twin.’ It’s almost like Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus,” she explained.
Camila went on to say that still, she’s so grateful, above anything else, telling the mag, “I think back to when I was 15 and didn’t even think this [career] was a real thing that could happen. You know, earlier today I performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and she told me she’s wanted me to come on and sing for ages. I mean, that’s crazy.”
Not that crazy at all, actually, but really sweet to see such a down to earth side of one of the world’s biggest stars.
Now, one of the biggest questions we had for Camila was whether or not she’d be doing any new renditions of any Fifth Harmony songs when she goes on tour. If you were hoping for a little trip down memory lane… don’t.
When asked if she’ll be performing ANY 5H songs, Camila gave it to us straight, saying, “No… no, definitely not.”
Welp. There’s that. She went on to explain, “I honestly have never even thought about that. I don’t know, I feel like this is such a new… chapter of me.”
It definitely seems like Camila is really enjoying being able to call her own shots. She opened up about her song, “She Loves Control”, and revealed that control feels so much better now that she’s a solo artist and not in a group, saying, “I definitely appreciate it more coming from that background.”
Clearly, with Camila in charge of her own music moves, there’s really no slowing her down.
