Camila Cabello’s Solo Album is NOT The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.
It’s been a highly anticipated musical journey for Camila Cabello fans, but now the countdown until the release of her debut solo album can officially begin.
The 20-year-old musician, who made herself known as a singer in Fifth Harmony, has proven herself as a solo artist, with hit after hit and collab after collab, so fans have been itching to get their hands on her debut album, but there were some minor setbacks.
Like any artist would, Camila wanted to make sure the songs were ready and would convey the right message the way she intended. She also wanted to change the album name from The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving., so the album release was postponed… until today. That’s right — the wait is FINALLY over, and we will be fully immersed in the light at the end of the tunnel come January 12th.
Camila revealed the cover art to her debut album, along with new, self-titled name of the CD via Instagram this morning. She also included a heartfelt message to her fans and announced not one, but two instant grat tracks when you pre-order the compilation:
to my Camilizers…. my debut album is finally finished. now i'm trying to steady my heartbeat!!!!!!! thank you for being so patient with me this year, i can't wait for you to hear what has been the soundtrack to the past year of my life… all of these songs have special memories behind them, and i'm not gonna lie, it feels emotional letting them go, feels like the end of a chapter… i decided to call it by my name, because this is where this chapter in my life ended. it started with somebody else's story, it ended with me finding my way back to myself. my album is gonna be available for pre order this Thursday, and i'm putting out two instant grat tracks with it…. one is called never be the same, and one is called real friends. it's in your hands January 12 ? love you guys so much, Camila
So there you have it! The album is on its way and we get two tracks, called “Never Be the Same” and “Real Friends,” as early as this Thursday! Fans are already predicting what (or who) exactly the songs will be about, but if they’re anywhere near as good as “Havana,” we’re in for quite a treat.
Speaking of “Havana,” the record-breaking single just topped the charts in the U.K. for the fifth consecutive week, which now ties Adele‘s record for “Someone Like You” back in 2011. It’s safe to say Camila is doing her thing and she’s doing it well.
