All the Highlights from BTS’ Interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show
BTS made its debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, and fans in the audience literally couldn’t contain their excitement. Rap Monster (a.k.a. RM) answered most of Jimmy’s questions on behalf of the group, as diehard fans essentially screamed their lungs out in the background…
After the guys introduced themselves individually, Jimmy asked RM about the group’s recent speech at the UN. Jimmy also asked what BTS’ overall message is, and RM gave the perfect answer, explaining, “It’s about speaking [for] yourself. It’s mainly about speaking [for] yourself, instead of letting other people speak for you because to truly know ourselves is important.”
Jimmy also asked the guys if they’re enjoying New York, and J-Hope was quick to gush about how much he’s looking forward to shopping in Soho. (Umm, can we come?!)
After the interview, BTS took to the stage to perform two of the troupe’s most iconic songs. First, the guys kicked things off with a high-energy performance of their recent hit, “Idol.”

After a short break, the guys performed “I’m Fine” from their previous album, Love Yourself: Tear.
Booking The Tonight Show was obviously a huge milestone for BTS, and we can’t wait to see them slay even more US performances and late-night appearances in the future!
