Brooklyn McKnight & Parker Johnson Break Up After 2 Years of Dating
Last week, Brooklyn McKnight of the YouTube channel Brooklyn and Bailey said she had “one of the hardest days of [er] life so far.” Why, you may ask? Because her boyfriend of more than two years, Parker Johnson, broke up with her unexpectedly.
“About a week ago, Parker dumped me and it sucked; it still sucks,” the 17-year-old explained in a recent YouTube video all about the breakup.
The teenager tried to hold back her tears as she let viewers know that the pair had “different issues” over the past month or so, but was generally happy together overall. She says she felt “blindsided” when her ex dumped her because she thought they had agreed to work on their problems and be invested in the relationship.
“When he broke up with me I remember my heart just stopping,” she continued. “He’s been my best friend for four years and my boyfriend for two of those and in the moment I couldn’t even fathom that it was happening. My heart literally stopped and I just sobbed.”
Brooklyn explained that the day following the split was probably the worst, and she didn’t even want to do things like eat or brush her teeth, because she was so devastated.
Despite the fact that she is still incredibly hurt, she had nothing but good things to say about her former boyfriend.
“Parker is a really good guy and he deserves happiness in every way possible, even if that’s not with me. I don’t regret our relationship in any way, shape, or form; I was so happy.”
The YouTuber is now trying her best to focus on the positive things in her life and not wallow in her sadness.
Our hearts go out to Brooklyn at this tough time. Stay strong, girl!
Not gonna lie, we STILL can’t believe these YouTube couples broke up last year:
Colleen Ballinger & Joshua Evans
Rumors swirled that Colleen and Josh were going through a rough patch in their marriage after the couple didn't post pictures together for the whole summer, but the vlogging couple didn't confirm the news of their divorce until the end of September.
"We have always had a very rocky relationship since the beginning," the creator of Miranda Sings emotionally said about her decision to end the marriage. "We've always butted heads. We've always fought, ever since we met really. It's never been a perfect relationship."
The 32-year-old also uploaded a video telling his side of the story, making it seem like the divorce was all Colleen's doing.
He said: "I want it to be known that I am not choosing this divorce. I don't want this divorce. I want her, but I truly believe she thinks she is making the right decision right now. I was faithful the entire time. It's nothing like that at all, in any way. I would never, ever break that trust with her — so that’s not anything like that."
