One of Your Fave Young Academy Awards Stars Has Been Engaged for Weeks!
An Academy Award isn’t the only shiny new piece in Brie Larson‘s life — the 26-year-old actress is now rocking an engagement ring! That’s right, the young woman, who took home a Best Actress Oscar at this year’s ceremony is a betrothed woman and, apparently, has been for a few weeks now. How did everyone miss this?!
Over the weekend, the leading lady of Room hosted Saturday Night Live, wearing a beautiful rock on her ring finger. Soon after, Us Weekly did some digging and found out that she’s engaged to her musician love, 36-year-old Alex Greenwald. The two have been on and off since 2013, but are set to be on for life, as he reportedly popped the question during a trip to Tokyo in March.
Oh, and get this — the site’s also reporting that Brie “wants to have kids right away.” Squee! If Brie’s on- and off-screen relationship with her Room son, Jacob Tremblay, is any indication, she’ll be a great
Ma mom in real life.
Speaking of the Academy Awards, remember when these stars turned down Best Actress Oscar-winning roles?
Although Anne became the proud owner of her very own Academy Award in 2013, she won it for her supporting role in Les Miserables. If she took the part originally offered to her, she could've snagged the Best Actress trophy the very same year.
According to The Weinstein Company's studio head famed film producer, Harvey Weinstein, Anne was OG cast as Tiffany Maxwell in Silver Linings Playbook; the role that earned Jennifer Lawrence her first (and, so far, only) Oscar win.
Harvey said, "[Anne]'s marvelous, and wonderful and she was my choice, I love her." But she supposedly backed out due to "creative differences." Wonder if she regrets that now.
