American Idol is supposed to be for people with talent that haven’t had the chance or connections to launch a singing career. I know I’m kind of late with this but…Carly Hennessy screwed up a multimillion dollar record deal but got the chance to become a contestant on American Idol as Carly Smithson. How did this happen? Randy? Paula? Either she just wasn’t known enough or American Idol judges felt sorry for her.
Regardless, that wasn’t fair to others who never had a chance. This may open up a new can of boo boo in the future! Next thing you know, we’re going to see people like Bobby Brown on American Idol, trying to get their careers off the ground again!
