According to the Hollywood Reporter, Summit Entertainment is looking at Juan Antonio Bayona to direct Eclipse, the third movie in the Twilight saga.
Bayona is the protege of director Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, The Hobbit) who directed 2007’s horror hit The Orphanage.
Other names being rumored about include James Mangold and, oddly enough, Drew Barrymore. Twilighters.org even reported that Paul Weitz — the brother of current New Moon director Chris Weitz — would direct.
Whether the director ends up being Bayona or someone else, they’ll be jumping into a speeding vehicle — Eclipse is set to come out just seven months after New Moon, in the summer of 2010.

I personally don’t really care who it is. Twilight will always be the no.1 book of all time and Edward Cullen has conquered my heart.

i hope the new director dont miss all the best scenes in the books!
TO THE DIRECTOR OF ECLIPSE.. PLEASE!!! READ THE BOOK FIRST AND FIND THE SCENE THAT EXCITING.. ESPECIALLY THE ROMANCE AND FIGHTING PART!! DONT SKIP TOO MANY SCENES!! to the ACTOR.. PLEASE!! READ THEIR OWN CHARACTER SO THAT THEY ARE MORE IN TO IT WHEN THEY ACTING IN IT!! and when the do casting PLEASE!! find someone that suits the CHARACTER!! WISH the can do much better DESPITE of such short time!! TO WHO INVOLVE IN THE MAKING OF ECLIPSE.. PLEASE dont mess this movie its so interestng in the book..so PLEASE!! dont RUIN it!!

I don’t think they should get a director that was in action that would ruin the movie the books r about actiob but the love is the biggest part and they would ruin it

i dont know about the new director because i want to know how new moon will come out.. is it better or same like twilight that have too many deleted scene and also doesnt included the exciting part like in the book.. so we will see when the new moon come out in november(i wish its november now!!)well… hope the waiting paid well!! thanks to stephanie meyer who give us all the new experients of new vampire world other than only being on the bad side!

i am happy they got a new director cause catherine hardwike didn’t do the movie well there were some parts missing from the movie like most of the cafeteria scenes and the the blood typing scene and in twilight after edward saved bella from the gang they go to a restraunt and the weightress comes she has red hair she is in her forties but in the it said that the weightress had blonde hair and was in her twenties also beautiful that got me confused lol.

I’m sooo glad there is a new director! Don’t get me wrong, twilight is imense but catherine missed some of the best things from the book and made the cullens house really complicated! For those of you who have read breaking dawn may understand what I mean (w***ing) and also, the kitchen is on the 1st floor in the movie and it’s on the ground in the book, they spend most of the time in the kitchen throughout the book!

To me it’s like they’re trying to pull off Harry Potter and their continuous changes of a director….but i’m cool….as long as there is hot Vamps coming on my screen i’m happy =)

I’m Glad that they are gettin a new director for the new movie New Moon.I didn’t like the old director.Now I’m not being mean but I didn’t like the way she did the first movie Twilight.I’m hoping the next person who wrights the movie and puts it together can do it alittle better.
