Christopher Nolan is taking a much-deserved break from the Batman franchise with Inception, a project we still don’t know anything about except the official studio line: that it’s “a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.”
Nolan wrote the script himself, and has now found his lead: Leonardo DiCaprio, who will appear in theaters this year in Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island. Assuming Christian Bale doesn’t also sign on soon, it will be Nolan’s first Bale-less movie since 2002’s Insomnia — which, come to think of it, has a very similar-sounding title.
