As expected, Walden Media and its new Narnia distributor Twentieth-Century Fox has agreed on a holiday release for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Former distributor Disney released Prince Caspian in May 2008, a month before kids were out of school, and then broke off its distribution deal when the film underperformed at the U.S. box office.
Dawn Treader will arrive in a little less than two years, on December 10th, 2010. As of now, it has that weekend all to itself, although December 17th, 2010 is the opening date of Warner Bros.’ Green Lantern movie.
