Now that they’ve set Jonah Hex and Green Lantern for 2010 release dates, Warner Bros. seems to have gone a little trigger-happy with their DC Comics properties: they just set up an adaptation of the comic book Suicide Squad with producer Dan Lin (Terminator Salvation, Sherlock Holmes).
The comic follows a group of incarcerated supervillains forced by the government to do the dirty work deemed too dangerous for superheroes. Different iterations of the group have appeared in a number of different D.C. comics lines, and its membership has been a revolving door of some of the lesser known villains in D.C.’s rogue’s gallery.
