Below are a selection of some of last night’s best Oscar speeches. It was a notable night in that all the speeches were pretty good, and nobody got played off by the music, but there was still plenty of mild discomfort at the politically-themed (but extremely heartfelt) speeches from Milk’s two winners, Sean Penn and Dustin Lance Black.
