Brad Pitt is looking to make Moneyball his next movie, which would pair him with the director of the three Ocean’s movies, Steven Soderbergh.
Based on the book Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game by Michael Lewis, the movie will tell the (true) story of Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland Athletics, who used computer analytics to construct a competitive baseball team despite having a much lower payroll than teams like the New York Yankees.
Pitt already has two movies lined up after The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: Terrence Malick’s Tree of Life and Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds [sic]. Soderbergh currently has the Benicio Del Toro epic Che in select theaters and has recently filmed The Girlfriend Experience, starring real-life porn star Sasha Grey, and The Informant, starring Matt Damon.
