From the Biting the Hand that Feeds You Billions Department comes a choice tidbit from Miley Cyrus, who is convinced that the company she works for and made her famous has been releasing immoral mind-pollutants since 1951. Dig the word:
“It’s such a perverted movie,” the Hannah Montana star says in the May 2009 issue of Teen Vogue. “It’s all about Ecstasy. I swear! Look it up online.”
In case you’re wondering, here she was talking about 1951’s Alice in Wonderland, released by the Disney corporation. Never mind that the original book, released in 1865 and the film BOTH predate Ecstacy use by DECADES, this doesn’t matter to Miley, Mistress of the Internet, who apparently believes everything she reads online. Aside from being phenomenally stupid, it’s also a bad career move–claiming the company that made your career is releasing movies about drugs to children? That’s never smart.
Where will this go? Not sure. But man, it should be a thrill to watch.
