So it’s true–Robert Pattinson’s musical chops will NOT be featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming Twilight installment New Moon.
Though he wrote two songs for the first installment, the composer, pianist and guitarist says that for him music is nothing more than a “back up plan”, and that he didn’t want to be seen as “trying to cash in”.
This is unusually decent for a celebrity–most of the time you hear about rampant greed and desperate attempts to cash in, but Pattinson’s choosing not to go that route, which personally rates a thumbs up and a nod of kudos from me.
Of course, the question left is, will be will he be showing up on Eclipse?

acting or singing, rob puts on a great preformance as both! There nothing wrong with a back up plan. I doubt very much his acting career will fail, considering all the fans he has.

all of robs music is great. and i think if hes not gonna put anymore songs into the movies then he should at least make a Cd or something. i love all of his music. i listened to his music before twilight. =]

i hope they do not take robert out of eclips.he plays good as edward
and anyway they really cant take him out since he has played edward
it kinda messes up the purpose in the movie.and alot of fans love
him.if they take him out they`re will not be as many fans.

Boo!! I’m so sad that Rob’s amazing voice will not be featured in New Moon! While I do give him a nod for not wanting to cash in, I really wish he would! I’m definitely in love with his music and I wish that he would take a step back and release an LP. Please, Rob, please!

I think that Robert Pattinson’s song Let Me Sign, was really good. I think that it fit perfectly in the part that it was put into and it turned out to be one of my favorite parts in the film and that was before I knew that it was him singing. I think that his voice is very unique and I actually like the style of music that he does. I know that not to many people seem to like his voice all that much but he reminds me of a more edgy type of sound which is what I like so….to each his own I guess I’d love more songs from him.

It’s probably a fair suggestion, at this point, that Pattinson will be playing Cullen until there aren’t any more movies to make. Unless of course his panic attacks start getting in the way of shooting, then there might be a problem. And there seems to be a consensus that Pattinson’s not the best singer, so maybe he SHOULD stay out of music. Especially while he’s got such a good gig going acting.

i hope that he shows up in Eclipse though. I cant imagine an replacement. Its decietful!! We wont let that happen im sure. We fans have to support our actors and actresses at whatever they do. I hope that he gets better at singing though. He wasnt all that great. But he didnt suck. Im worse, believe me. xD

To be honest he might not be a great singer, but he can play the piano. Also they better not change any of the main characters because after the first two that they will be in we already understand there way of portraying Bella & Edward. As for who’s playing Jane… I’m not sure but hey in the end none of us have the final decision.

Rob better be in Eclipse and no affence to him but tht song he sang Never Think on the Twilight sound track. Wasnt all tht great, he mumblued most of the time and i couldnt understand wat he was saying. Maybe if he didnt mumble or if he rasied his voice a little higher he would be a good singer. Hes a great piano player and gitaurit, though.
