8 Incredible Teen Movies That Killed the Film Game in 2017
Let’s be real here, no matter how much you love hanging out with friends and exploring new places, there is something so nice about having a relaxing night at the movies. Whether you’re actually at the theater or in the comfort of your own couch, watching a movie is an excellent way to spend an evening. Also, can we talk about all of these new fancy theaters? Some theaters now have recliners and trays and a real menu and waiter to bring food to you! Even if the movie’s not great, it’s worth it for the theater experience, TBH.
Coming into 2017, there were so many highly anticipated movies that we honestly had no clue how we would be able to see them all. Now that the year is somehow already coming to a close, we’re starting to look back at these films to see which ones actually lived up to all the hype.
It can be really easy to get super excited about a flick prematurely. Like, is it bad that we are already freaking out about all the upcoming Marvel productions? So many blockbusters have come out this year, and there are still some major ones releasing in the last few months of the year. It’s hard to find time to actually watch all the movies you want to see, especially when school starts and nights are full of studying and practice instead of hangouts and fun.
Thankfully, the holidays are just around the corner, which means you’ll have tons of time to catch up on watching all the biggest movies of the year. We know you don’t want to waste two to three hours of your life watching a movie that ends up being a total dud, which is why we rounded up the best-received films and biggest box-office hits of the year! From getting an excellent rating on Rotten Tomatoes to breaking records, these are the movies you definitely want to put on your must-watch list (or rewatch):
Wonder Woman is number one on this list for so many reasons. Not only does it have a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but it has broken pretty much every record possible. This movie shows just how powerful women are, both on screen and behind the camera. Wonder Woman is highest-grossing woman-led comic book superhero film ever, and we fully expect the sequel to shatter that record.
