5 of Our Favorite Songs from Shawn Mendes’ New Album
After months and months of waiting, Shawn Mendes‘ third studio album — creatively titled Shawn Mendes: The Album — has made its way into the world and we just cannot get enough of it. Obviously, all the songs that were released before the album came out were well received by Shawn’s many fans and pretty much the world, so it’s no surprise that every single song on this album is.a.bop.
BUT, if we had to choose our top five, the first one on our list is…
It’s upbeat, it’s relatable… How could you NOT love this song?
Next up, we have…
2. “Fallin’ All in You”
Some people are dubbing the track “Thinking Out Loud 2.0,” and we totally agree with that sentiment. Shawn actually co-wrote this particular song with Ed Sheeran and Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol, so it totally makes sense that “Fallin’ All in You” had major Ed vibes!
Another track that had us putting it on repeat is Shawn’s slightly somber duet with Julia Michaels…
3. “Like to Be You”
The song is basically about two people who are going through a rough patch in their relationship and how they don’t know what it’s ~like to be~ the other person. It’s a relationship-based song, so it’s still pretty relatable for people who aren’t dating.
Of course, we had to include…
Mainly because it’s heavily believed that this track is about none other than his BFF, Camila Cabello, and we still MAJORLY ship these two, but you know, other than that, it’s a pretty darn amazing and sweet song.
And our last and final pick is…
Not gonna lie, this song is pretty sassy and we are SO here for it. While Shawn has revealed to Entertainment Weekly that this song isn’t necessarily about anyone in particular (sure, Shawn), we still can’t help but wonder if a certain somebody inspired this track.
