Bella Hadid Slams Those Resurfaced Rumors That She Hooked Up with Drake
In case you missed it, last week, Drake dropped his latest 24-track album, Scorpion, and the rapper did NOT hold back when it came to spilling the tea on his own person life with his lyrics. Scorpion revealed everything from the fact that Drake fathered a child with former adult film star Sophie Brussaux, to why he didn’t respond to Pusha T‘s diss track, “The Story of Adidon,” and everything in between.
As much as every track had Drake fans talking, there was one song, in particular, that seemed to confirm the rumors that Drake hooked up with supermodel Bella Hadid at some point last year. Media outlets began reporting that Drake may have broken “bro code” by dating pal The Weeknd‘s ex back in the summer of 2017, and Drake even reportedly threw Bella’s birthday party back in October.
So cut to the release of Scorpion, and there are some very juicy lyrics that have Bella written all over them — without ever mentioning her name, of course. On the song “Finesse”, Drake raps, “Should I do New York? I can’t decide // Fashion week is more your thing than mine” and later adds, “You and your sister // Too hot to handle.” With lines like that, social media went into hyperdrive, discussing the Drake-Bella dating rumors once again.
am i the only one who thinks drake's song finesse is about bella hadid?? bc i think it's pretty obvi 🧐

Imagine being Bella Hadid and having both The Weeknd and Drake writing songs about you. Some people really do have it all

But just as quickly as the rumors restarted, Bella herself took to Twitter to shut them down. When one fan commented, “Probably, who hasn’t he banged,” in response to a tweet asking fans if those rumors were true, Bella replied to the fan, “Not me!!! That’s disrespectful. WHY CANT PPL BE FRIENDS W/o all the insinuation,” followed by a series of emojis that showed just how frustrated she is with all the speculation.
Not me!!!🤷🏻♀️that’s disrespectful. WHY CANT PPL BE FRIENDS W/o all the insinuation 🤭🧐😩🤬

On one hand, we feel pretty bad for Bella having to knock down all these rumors, but on the other hand… maybe it’s really Drake she should be calling out for dropping such MAJOR lyric hints pointing to a hookup. #JustSayin.
